Winter picnic in the living room

Concept Note
Winter vacation from school came with dread and lethargy, but fruits in the winter sun were part of how my family spent time together, especially oranges.
These fruits, in particular, are associated with distinct memories and feelings: papaya represents resilience, because for the longest time I hated papayas; pomegranate is associated with a maybe random but vivid school memory where we sprayed the seeds on our white school shirts; The other fruit, I still don’t know its name, only that it felt familiar, like an old friend you thought you’d forgotten.
This is a captured memory and an ode to home.
